Between Heaven and Earth

This country, this northern New Mexico, unique in so many ways! Most notably original in the way it delivers Nature on a flat palm as if feeding a horse with very large teeth. And, yes, we are hungry for more.

The sky, the clouds that are always different, together show me so many new ways of seeing. Colors, yes, but the sheer volume, the black shadows below (and above). The worlds within worlds, so well disguised you can forget if you’re standing on your feet or your head!

And, there’s something about the thinness of the air that has me wondering, aren’t we actually nearer to the star nations? I keep trying to divine their voices or, at least, remember what I was supposed to do here. Someday, I’ll figure it out.
